Aug. 28th, 2005 01:51 pmTriangle is a most excellent band. I saw two of the three members play last night. I told kept saying, "Tonight, they're more like Angle." It took Ross a while to get it. Oh, me and my math nerd jokes!
I can't get over how much I love the Arcade Fire. I love how their songs aren't about lust or youthful angst or getting drunk or playing rock or any of the normal rock topics. Not even like "alternative" rock topics like feeling alienated or not fitting in. They're about families and homes - leaving home and finding home - death and births. They have old people and babies and a real sense of roots. I mean, I can think of a lot of bands that have intelligent lyrics covering a wide spectrum of experiences and ideas. Somehow the Arcade Fire is the only band I know that's about family and about the whole life journey.
